About the job: Merchandising Administrator - Offsite

Job title: Merchandising Administrator - Offsite

Purpose of the role:

R24 000 + R1500 medical allowance and up to 200 pounds KPI incentives.

The Merchandising team at our international client based in London, with offices in Century City, Cape Town, is responsible for compiling the business online shop window using both qualitative and quantitative data. The goal is to select the most appropriate deals to display on-site, assessing which offerings should deliver the most revenue for the company in the medium to long term. The team provides insights to sales and management to meet changing consumer preferences and seasonal variations. The Merchandising Administrator will ensure email performance is optimized to maximize profit potential and support administrative tasks to launch deals from signing to live status.

Main responsibilities and duties:

  • Assess deals launched on the website against set KPIs.
  • Analyze location and tier performance of emails and use findings to make strategic decisions.
  • Build exposure strategies for different tiers and locations to maximize visitation and revenue on key deals.
  • Plan daily email orders to ensure a good mix of key categories and seasonal focuses, avoiding deal fatigue and offering variety to consumers.
  • Coordinate with the generics team to schedule paid slots for generic deals monthly, considering merchant requirements and consumer behavior.
  • Balance offsite deal exposure to maximize revenue while keeping content engaging for consumers.
  • Ensure no clashes in the system between email orders for different regions.
  • Select deals for web and app pushes.
  • Collaborate with the product team to automate processes and innovate for better email performance.
  • Assess the subscriber base and suggest email strategies.
  • Utilize audience builder tools to target suitable customers for deals.
  • Work closely with CRM, using AB testing to improve email performance.

Technical Skills required:

  • Degree or relevant experience in a related sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools (e.g., Excel).
  • Ability to analyze data sets to draw logical conclusions.
  • Experience with tools such as SQL and Power BI is useful but not essential.
