Job description

Browns Jewellers – South Africa’s leading luxury jeweller – is looking for a highly motivated Merchandise Planner to support the strategic planning and trading of our product categories across both manufacturing and retail. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a passion for luxury products, retail, and data-driven decision-making.

You will work closely with experienced planners and buyers to analyze sales data, forecast demand, and ensure stock levels are optimized to meet business goals. If you're eager to grow your career in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales performance, stock levels, and key metrics to drive strategic planning and maximize profitability.
  • Oversee inventory management and forecasting to ensure optimal stock flow and product availability.
  • Support the creation and delivery of weekly, monthly, and seasonal reporting for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with buying, planning, and supply chain teams to align on product lifecycle and demand planning.
  • Develop product dashboards and utilize open-to-buy (OTB) frameworks for agile decision-making.
  • Assist in seasonal planning including range architecture, promotions, and performance reviews.
  • Monitor customer behavior, market trends, and competitor activity to identify trading opportunities.
  • Ensure process integrity for purchase orders, pricing, and data accuracy across planning systems.
