Job summary

homechoice, a leading South African homeware retailer, is seeking a data-driven Retail Analyst to turn insights into sales and buy plans for our e-commerce and stores.

You will partner with buyers to deliver products that meet price points, sales and margin targets, forecast stock, and chase opportunities to grow profitability while maintaining strong supplier SLAs. A business degree and practical Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• 3–5 years of retail experience (e-commerce preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyse sales and other metrics to create realistic sales and buy plans.
• Identify sales opportunities to create products and offers that meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with buyers to deliver products aligned with category strategies and targets.
• Forecast and reproject sales, margin and stock to maximise sales and profitability.
• Maintain beneficial relationships with suppliers according to SLAs.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver big ideas aligned with our DNA.

What You’ll Need To Do This Role

• Bachelor’s degree (Business Science/BCom/BSc)
• 3-5 years of retail experience (e-commerce is preferable but not a requirement)
• Competency in MS Office packages, particularly Excel
