Job summary

RPO Recruitment in Cape Town is seeking an experienced MEPF Co-ordinator to join our client's team. You will coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire systems across building projects, working closely with MEPF and Construction Managers to deliver integrated building services.

The role requires 3–5 years in MEPF coordination, a built environment qualification, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

A leading construction company is seeking an experienced MEPF Co-ordinator to join its Cape Town team. This opportunity is suited to a technically strong professional with experience coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire (MEPF) systems within building construction projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with the MEPF and Construction Managers, coordinating various teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and delivery of MEPF systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEPF systems across building construction projects.
• Coordinate Mechanical and Electrical services with the wider project team.
• Work closely with subcontractors, consultants, clients, and construction teams.
• Review and analyse technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical coordination issues and clashes.
• Provide technical guidance and support relating to MEPF systems.
• Assist with project scheduling and monitor progress against programme.
• Ensure MEPF installations are completed on time and within project requirements.
• Assist with project management and coordination activities.
• Ensure designs and installations comply with relevant building codes, regulations, standards, and project specifications.
• Coordinate multiple project requirements and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Support the construction team with technical problem-solving and MEPF-related issues.

Minimum Requirements

• 3–5 years' experience in MEPF coordination, particularly across Mechanical and Electrical systems.
• Relevant qualification within the built environment will be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of building construction processes and practices.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards relating to electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience coordinating MEPF subcontractors and project teams.
• Strong technical drawing and document review capabilities.
• South African citizenship.
