About Your Team

You’ll report directly to the Section Manager and indirectly to the Construction Manager. You’ll work alongside Foremen and collaborate with Project Engineers, QA/QC, HSE, and Procurement teams to ensure seamless site execution. Our construction teams are collaborative, fast-paced, and focused on delivering quality work safely and efficiently.

Your Role

As a Site Engineer, you will:

• Ensure all works comply with contract specifications, consultant directives, and local authority requirements.
• Prepare and track material submittals, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Maintain procurement schedules, monitor deliveries, and escalate delays.
• Control drawing issuance and updates, ensuring only approved versions are used on-site.
• Conduct inspections, raise IRs, and manage material take-offs with senior engineers.
• Record and report labour productivity, delays, and deviations weekly.
• Support testing, commissioning, and close-out documentation.

This role is full-time and follows a Monday to Saturday work week, typical for project-based positions in our industry.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Qualifications:

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of site-based engineering experience in construction.

Knowledge & Expertise:

• Strong understanding of QA/QC, HSE, and programme controls.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage documentation, materials, and productivity on fast-track projects.

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with BIM-enabled field tools or Lean construction principles.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.

• Cape Town – 10th & 11th July
