As per Nkangala District Municipality approved tariffs on sitting of Audit and Performance committee.
REQUIREMENTS
LLB or higher law degree admitted as an attorney, registered with Law Society of South Africa experience in performance and litigation matters , experience serving in audit and performance committee.
EXPERIENCE
Should have at least five years’ senior municipal experience or should have served as a member of Audit and Performance committee for at least six years.
DUTIES:
The members of the Audit and Performance Committee will be expected to serve in the shared Audit and performance committee of the following municipality under Nkangala District Municipality namely.
The Duties will entail the following but not limited to.
Respond to the council on any issues raised by the Auditor-General in the audit report
Carry out such investigations into the financial affairs of the municipality or municipal entity as the council of the municipality, or in the case of the municipal entity, the council of the parent municipality or the board of directors of the entity, may request; and
Perform such other functions as may be prescribed
