Role Overview :

Join a leading global medical protection and support division dedicated to safeguarding the careers, reputations, and financial wellbeing of healthcare professionals worldwide. As a Medicolegal / Dentolegal Consultant, you will provide expert medico-legal advice and support to members within defined jurisdictions, ensuring fair treatment and trusted outcomes. You will work collaboratively with case and claims managers to balance member needs with effective cost management, contribute to strategic objectives, and support the delivery of high-quality medico-legal services.

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver medico-legal and dento-legal advice across a range of cases including complaints, claims, inquests, disciplinary and regulatory hearings.

Manage own caseload with a focus on technical expertise, coaching colleagues, and ensuring compliance with governance and policy.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote the value of medico-legal services.

Participate in training, mentoring, and development initiatives to build capability within the team.

Proactively manage costs related to cases, ensuring effective use of the membership fund.

Contribute to communications such as articles, webinars, and conference presentations to share knowledge and insights.

Maintain clear, accurate case records and audit trails.

Support risk management and compliance within medico-legal service delivery.

Skills & Experience Required :

Medical or dental graduate with full registration and licensing in relevant jurisdiction.

Strong knowledge of medico-legal, dento-legal, legal and ethical principles applicable to healthcare practice.

Proven ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams and build strong professional relationships.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting at conferences or webinars and writing professional articles.

Coaching and mentoring skills to develop colleagues and support service quality.

Experience managing medico-legal or dento-legal cases, ideally within a protection or insurance environment.

Desirable :

  • 5 - 7 years relevant experience

Postgraduate medical or dental qualification.

Knowledge of insurance products relevant to medico-legal contexts.

Experience in negotiation, business development, and building external professional networks.

Familiarity with social media to enhance professional visibility and member engagement.
