Job description

A well-established company is recruiting for a SENIOR SPECIALIST: STRATEGIC SOURCING in ROODEPOORT.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To provide effective support to the Strategic Sourcing line manager, Fund Management team, and the Scheme as a whole.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
  1. Solid understanding of regulatory and reimbursement guidelines for medicine, devices, and appliances.
  2. Data analysis of medical devices and appliances coupled with stakeholder engagements.
  3. Ensure all enhancements and interventions are successfully implemented in the organisation.
  4. Participate in the development, implementation, and ongoing health risk management initiatives within the GEMS Fund Management team.
  5. Engage with client schemes to position and ultimately implement these initiatives.
  6. Monitor and conduct data and cost analysis with respect to strategic sourcing of medicine, devices, and appliances.
  7. Engage with external and internal stakeholders to build informed and supportive mutual relationships.
  8. Liaise and engage with industry stakeholders on strategic sourcing objectives including but not limited to pricing and supply.
  9. Assist and respond timeously to scheme queries and facilitate the escalation processes to achieve the desired outputs or improvements.
  10. Report-writing ability with excellent presentation skills to relevant stakeholders.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Min 5 years' experience in managed healthcare, medical, pharmaceutical, and appliance industry.

Must have a clinical qualification e.g., pharma or medical doctor.
