The Opportunity:

The role of Medical Sales Representative would be based in Cape Town, covering the Southern Suburbs for the Established Pharmaceutical Division. We are committed to bringing the benefits of our trusted medicines to more people in the world's fastest-growing countries. Our broad portfolio includes high-quality and differentiated branded generic medicines across multiple therapeutic areas including gastroenterology, women's health, cardiometabolic, pain management/central nervous system, and respiratory.

What you will do:

1. Design appropriate strategies to achieve sales goals and targets in the assigned territory.
2. Achieve sales, market share, and growth objectives in the region.
3. Maintain high customer call rate, strike rate, and territory coverage target.
4. Compile and update sales operating plan for the region.
5. Identify new business opportunities.
6. Arrange and run CME events.
7. Establish and maintain KOL relationships in the area.
8. Attend all relevant trade conferences as required.
9. Participate in cycle meetings and conferences.
10. Complete country and day trips within the area.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

• A Degree in Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Human Physiology, or Marketing.
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in doctor detailing, especially with GPs, specialists, and in disciplines such as Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Anesthesia, and Women's Health in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.
• Strong sales track record and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of and relationships with key stakeholders in the region.
• Established KOL and specialist relationships are advantageous.
• Good communication skills and self-motivation.
• Business planning skills and computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Own vehicle and valid driver’s license are required.

Additional Information:

The base pay for this position is not applicable. Salary ranges may vary by location. The position involves travel up to 50% of the time.
