The Opportunity:

The role of Medical Sales Representative will be based in Cape Town, covering the Southern Suburbs for the Established Pharmaceutical Division. We are committed to bringing the benefits of our trusted medicines to more people in the world’s fastest-growing countries. Our broad portfolio includes high-quality and differentiated branded generic medicines across multiple therapeutic areas, including gastroenterology, women's health, cardiometabolic, pain management/central nervous system, and respiratory.

What you will do:

  • Design appropriate strategies to achieve sales goals and targets in the assigned territory.
  • Achieve sales, market share, and growth objectives in the region.
  • Maintain high customer call rate, strike rate, and territory coverage.
  • Compile and update sales operating plans for the region.
  • Identify new business opportunities.
  • Arrange and conduct CME events.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with KOLs in the area.
  • Attend relevant trade conferences and cycle meetings.
  • Complete country and day trips within the area.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Degree in Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Human Physiology, or Marketing.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in doctor detailing, with experience dealing with GPs, specialists, and gynecologists in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town being advantageous.
  • Strong sales record and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of and relationships with key stakeholders in the region.
  • Established KOL and specialist relationships are a plus.
  • Good communication skills and self-motivation.
  • Business planning skills and computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Own vehicle and valid driver’s license required.
