The Opportunity: The Medical Sales Representative role is based in Cape Town, covering the Southern Suburbs for the Established Pharmaceutical Division.

Our portfolio includes high-quality, differentiated branded and generic medicines across therapeutic areas such as gastroenterology, women's health, cardiometabolic, pain management, CNS, and respiratory.

What you will do:

  • Design strategies to achieve sales goals and targets in the assigned territory.
  • Achieve sales, market share, and growth objectives in the region.
  • Maintain high customer call rate, strike rate, and territory coverage.
  • Update sales operating plans for the region.
  • Identify new business opportunities.
  • Organize and conduct CME events.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with KOLs in the area.
  • Attend relevant trade conferences and cycle meetings, complete country and day trips within the area.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Degree in Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Human Physiology, or Marketing.
  • 2-3 years of doctor detailing experience, especially with GPs, specialists, and in disciplines like Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Anesthesia, and Women's Health in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.
  • Strong sales record and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of and relationships with key stakeholders and KOLs in the region.
  • Good communication skills, self-motivated, with business planning ability.
  • Computer literacy in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Own vehicle and valid driver's license are required.
