Duties & Responsibilities

Environment:

Since the early 2000s, our client has been a leader in the wound care scene in South Africa, offering top-notch service and support through a dedicated, well-trained national sales team. Their R&D team focuses on creating high-quality, advanced wound care products, most of which are made locally. They are now seeking a driven, ambitious, and organized Junior Sales Representative fluent in Afrikaans and English to join their dynamic team. In this role, you'll promote, grow, and secure their market share of innovative wound care products, building strong, ethical relationships and driving sales growth professionally with healthcare professionals and hospitals.

Duties:

  • Promote current and new products.
  • Identify business opportunities to sell all products.
  • Meet and exceed annual sales targets.
  • Maintain and grow existing accounts.
  • Work responsibly in the field and be goal-driven as a team player.

Management by Objectives:

  • Plan effectively to achieve sales and marketing goals.
  • Take responsibility for following through on objectives.
  • Manage personal workload efficiently.
  • Keep accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market insights in the company's CRM system, with regular feedback on business objectives.

Reporting:

  • Record daily sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Provide weekly progress reports.
  • Prepare weekly planning schedules and timely monthly forecasts.
  • Attend all business meetings.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time, including reports, leave forms, expense claims, etc.
  • Manage stock taking responsibly, following correct procedures for hospital visits and security protocols.
  • Assist with tender processes when required.

Work with Support Staff:

  • Build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Provide excellent pre- and post-sales service.
  • Maintain a client visit rate as directed by the National Sales Manager.
  • Visit theatre management, CSSD, and procurement weekly to discuss products, stock, and resolve issues.
  • Always conduct yourself professionally.

Requirements:

  • Post-matric or relevant qualification.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
