Front Office Medical Receptionist – Full-Time (On-Site)

We’re an established, dynamic medical practice specialising in chronic back and neck pain rehabilitation. Our team – made up of doctors, physiotherapists, and administrative professionals – works together to give every patient compassionate, coordinated care.

We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and well-organised person to join our front desk team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others, works well under pressure, and has previous experience in a busy healthcare or wellness practice.

What you will be doing:

Welcoming & Booking Patients

  • Greet patients in a warm, professional manner
  • Schedule appointments efficiently to keep the practice running smoothly
  • Answer calls and respond to queries with empathy and clarity

Day-to-Day Admin

  • Keep patient files up to date (both physical and digital)
  • Send and follow up on invoices and payments
  • Assist with medical aid claims and billing codes (training can be provided)

Working with the Team

  • Communicate clearly with doctors and physios about patient arrivals, bookings, and documentation
  • Help keep the practice environment organised and calm
Who We’re Looking For:
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a medical, physiotherapy, or wellness practice
  • Comfortable with basic billing, capturing patient details, and using medical software
  • Friendly, professional, and reliable
  • Great attention to detail – you’ll be the one catching double-bookings or missing info!
  • Strong communication skills and good emotional intelligence
  • Able to work independently, take initiative, and stay calm under pressure
  • Understanding of POPIA or willingness to learn
  • South African citizen with a valid driver’s licence or easy access to the CBD
