We are looking for a reliable and friendly Medical Receptionist & PatientSupport Associate to assist during Chicago business hours. This is a remote position that involves supporting our front desk team by answering patient calls, providing information about our medical center, enrolling new patients, scheduling appointments, and handling basic billing inquiries. When call volume is low, the role will also involve making outbound calls for wellness visit reminders and similar tasks.
Answer incoming patient calls and provide courteous, accurate information
Assist new patients with enrollment and account setup
Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments as requested
Take detailed messages for medical and administrative staff
Make outbound calls to remind patients to book annual wellness visits or follow-ups
Respond to simple billing questions or direct patients to the appropriate contact
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our system
Prior experience as a medical receptionist or in healthcare admin (preferred but not required)
Familiarity with medical scheduling and/or basic billing terms
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Tech-savvy and able to work comfortably with scheduling software and EMRs (Electronic Medical Records)
Able to work independently and remain productive when call volume is low
Must be available to work morning through afternoon (Chicago time zone)
Reliable internet connection and own computer or laptop
Quiet, professional remote workspace
Previous experience in a patient-facing or customer support role is an advantage
