Job summary

The Department of Health in Gauteng seeks a registered Medical Practitioner to lead occupational health services at Edenvale Regional Hospital.

You will manage return-to-work assessments, medical surveillance, OHS trainings, inductions, and collaborate across departments, reporting to HR. HPCSA registration is required; additional OHS qualifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Registration with HPCSA as an independent Medical Practitioner is required.
• OHS qualification is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct return-to-work assessments and medical surveillance.
• Deliver OHS trainings and inductions.
• Attend OHS meetings and report to HR Manager or delegated official.
• Collaborate with all departments and advise on OHS matters.

Job description

• Package : R501.00 to R662.00 per hour (OSD salary) 80 hours per month

Duties

• Must be responsible for OHS related functions. Be able to conduct return to work functions, Medical surveillance, Trainings and conduct inductions and orientations. Attend OHS meetings and related gatherings. Work in collaboration with all departments and report directly to HR Manager or delegated official. May have bilaterals with the office of CEO and give advises with relation to OHS matters. Be permanent part of Pilir committee and attend all those meetings
