A leading media company in South Africa is seeking a Media Strategist and Planner to manage and expand relationships with media partners. This full-time role involves overseeing advertising needs and onboarding new partners. This platform allows brands to swap unsold products for valuable advertising space, enhancing their presence across South Africa.
This is a full-time position.
Job Objective : As a Media Strategist and Planner, your priority will be to manage and expand relationships with key media partners.
You will also be responsible for ensuring our brand partners' advertising needs are met and they receive exceptional service.
You will be required to hunt for new media partners and onboard them to the platform.
You will play a key role in ensuring our sales cycle moves swiftly along with no complications.
Scorecard :
1. Mission : Ensure the successful execution of strategic media plans for our brand partners, leading to smooth campaign closures and meeting/exceeding sales targets.
2. Outcomes : Quarterly Media Negotiated Goal: R20,000; Develop and present at least five strategic media plans per month; Onboard at least 15 media partners every quarter; Achieve a minimum of 80% excellent ratings from our media partners; Ensure all campaigns meet deadlines with no significant delays; Proactively seek new opportunities and stay ahead of market trends; Persuade brands of the effectiveness of strategies and media plans; Be enthusiastic and driven to achieve targets; Identify and pursue the best opportunities for business growth; Work independently while aligning with company goals; Develop and maintain long-term relationships with media partners; Be proficient with media platforms and Microsoft Office.
3. Qualifications & Experience : Minimum of 5 years' experience in media planning and strategy across all media platforms; Exceptional communication skills; Proven track record in managing clients and achieving targets; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines; Knowledge of marketing and advertising industry.
4. Skills : Excellent understanding of media platforms; Creative and strategic thinking; Strong problem-solving skills; Proficient in Microsoft Office; Adaptable to change; Tech-savvy.
