We're Hiring: Media Buyer Specialist (Full-Time or Freelance-to-Hire) – South Africa-Based | Kato360
Kato360, a high-performance digital marketing and SEO agency, is looking for a sharp, results-driven Media Buyer Specialist to join our growing team. Whether you're a seasoned freelancer looking for a stable home or ready to commit full-time from the start, we want to hear from you.
We're based in Bloemfontein, and while we’d love to find someone local, we’re open to remote candidates anywhere in South Africa—if you’ve got the skills, we’ll make it work.
(note, if your application starts with "I am a fast learner" we are not interested, we are looking for someone with around 2+ years experience with PROVEN results in lead gen and e-commerce - Wordpress and Shopify)
R15,000 – R25,000+ CTC per month, based on experience
An agile, creative, and analytical media buyer who understands the entire paid ads ecosystem—from top-of-funnel awareness to bottom-of-funnel conversion. Your primary focus will be Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram), but you'll also work with (optionally) TikTok Ads, LinkedIn, and Google Ads as needed.
You’re someone who can run campaigns end-to-end—strategy, creative, targeting, tracking, reporting, and optimization. You know how to generate leads, drive eCommerce sales, and build systems that convert.
Plan, launch, and optimize paid ad campaigns across Meta & IG (then optionally) TikTok, LinkedIn, and Google
Implement and manage Facebook Pixel and tracking systems using Google Tag Manager
Design graphics and video creatives for campaigns (or optimize templates as needed)
Understand and apply full-funnel strategy (TOFU/MOFU/BOFU) for both lead gen and e-comm
Work inside GoHighLevel to set up campaigns, CRM workflows, automations, and tracking
Monitor KPIs like ROAS, CPL, CTR, and LTV to make data-backed optimizations
Create reporting dashboards via GA4 and Looker Studio (or other platforms)
Create content and designs team develop creative, AI-assisted ad copy and landing pages
Run A/B tests and iterate based on performance
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and algorithm updates
Skills & Tools You Should Have
Proven experience with Meta Ads (Lead Gen + E-commerce campaigns)
Confident with TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Google Ads
Advanced Pixel & Tracking skills (Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, GA4, GTM)
Ability to build funnels and understand conversion journeys
Go High Level CRM: Workflows, automations, tagging, pipeline setup
Visual content creation (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite or similar)
Excellent written and verbal communication (bonus if you can prompt and write content using AI tools)
Familiar with CRO, A/B testing, and optimizing for performance
Strategic thinker with ability to manage multiple campaigns across verticals
Type: Full-time preferred (after initial freelance / trial period)
Compensation: R15K–R25K CTC + commission
Location: Preferably Bloemfontein, but open to anyone in South Africa
Start Date: ASAP
