A leading company in water and wastewater treatment is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to oversee technical designs and lead engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience in the Water & Wastewater Sector or Mining Industry, with a strong focus on ensuring project deliverables are met successfully.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in Water & Wastewater Sector and/or Mining Industry.
• On site-based project works and commissioning-based experience.
• Knowledge/Experience in applying ISO/IEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for technical suitability and functionality of detailed mechanical designs.
• Ensure mechanical engineering outputs are delivered on time within budget.
• Lead high-performing mechanical engineers and designers in detailed execution of various projects.

Job Experience:

• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in Water & Wastewater Sector and/or Mining Industry
• On site-based project works and commissioning-based experience
• Knowledge/Experience in applying ISO/IEC standards
• ECSA registration as PR Eng

Responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for technical suitability and functionality of detailed mechanical designs, equipment sizing, selecting and specifying while meeting necessary client specifications
• Detailed design works apply to the process of mechanical equipment for:

• Water Treatment Works
• Waste Water Treatment Works
• Advanced technologies – micro / ultra filtration

• Ensure mechanical engineering outputs are delivered on time within budget
• Lead high-performing mechanical engineers and designers in detailed execution of various projects
• Support Project Managers
• Carry out mechanical tendering for multidisciplinary projects
