  • Carry out general maintenance across the entire manufacturing facility, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Identify opportunities for improving automation systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Provide ideas, design, and implement new systems to enhance speed, reliability, and efficiency in production.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and automation teams to drive continuous improvement in facility operations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
  • Conduct maintenance at heights as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve mechanical, electrical, and software issues on automated systems quickly.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and generate reports on equipment performance, improvements, and efficiency gains.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a mechatronics maintenance role, ideally within a manufacturing or structural steel fabrication environment.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills, including experience in millwright duties.
  • Solid understanding of CNC machinery, with experience in Siemens PLC, Peddinghaus, and Ficep systems considered a strong advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with automation systems, with a focus on identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • General maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and infrastructure repairs.
  • Ability to work at heights and safely perform overhead maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and implement improvements effectively.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a focus on collaboration for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Millwright, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in PLC systems, CNC machinery, or process improvement are a plus.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary, based on experience
  • Opportunities for ongoing training, development, and career growth
  • Supportive and dynamic work environment
