Remuneration : R 25 R 35 CTC, experience dependent. Onsite position in Pretoria.
Duties :
- Perform installations of electrical and automation systems.
- Collaborate closely with the installation team to ensure project success.
- Create and maintain project documentation and reports.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs and robotic systems.
- Conduct fault finding and debugging on automation and robotic systems.
- Assist with mechanical and electrical installations as required.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to junior staff members.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Education: Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field, or applicable trade certificate (Electrical, Millwright, or Mechatronic).
- Proven experience in PLC programming and robot programming, preferably in the automotive sector.
- Experience with Kuka Robots, Beckhoff, and Siemens PLCs is highly advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in various programming languages, strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, knowledge of mechanical and electrical installation processes, ability to read electrical drawings.
Soft Skills :
- Strong project planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent teamwork capabilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Additional Requirements :
- Willingness to travel to client sites, including abroad, for extended periods (e.g., 3 months).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Willingness to work overtime as required.
