Mechatronic / Mechanical Design Engineer required in Centurion.

Our client, a well-established international Defense Industry company, is seeking a Design Engineer to fill a critical gap in their team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in weapon development and production, utilising CAD (SolidWorks) and working on existing projects while taking ownership of assigned tasks.

The role also involves project management responsibilities, ensuring smooth execution and collaboration across teams.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:

• Grade 12, 85% Pass Rate (Non-Negotiable) – Please send Certificate with CV
• BEng or BSc Degree (Please send with cv)
• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical OR Mechatronics) – (Please send with CV)
• 2 + Years of experience required
• Proficiency in certain applications/computer programmes
• Essential: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA.
• Preferred: Simulation software (MSC One, Ansys)
• Sound knowledge of: Design and Implementation thereof
• Own Transport
• Must be willing to travel internationally

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed mechanical designs and technical drawings for Weapons and their components.
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure that designs meet safety, performance, and regulatory standards.
• Create 2D and 3D CAD models and technical schematics using CAD software.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation, including assembly instructions, parts lists, and technical
  specifications.
• Ensure that all designs meet the company’s quality standards and are produced within project timelines.
• Perform design analysis, including tolerance checks, stress analysis, and material selection.
• Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations to support project development
