About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team in Port Elizabeth . This role involves managing mechanical engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for coordinating engineering activities, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors, and providing technical oversight. This is a key position for an engineer who excels in project management and possesses strong technical expertise in mechanical systems within the Eastern Cape region.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize mechanical engineering projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies for mechanical initiatives.
• Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project engineering or project management within a mechanical engineering context.
