Mechanical Project Engineer required in Boksburg.

A well-established engineering firm, with over 30 years of industry presence, is seeking a value-adding Mechanical Project Engineer to join their growing team.

This role will suit a young, driven Mechanical Engineer who is eager to gain hands-on experience and develop both technically and professionally. You’ll be part of a close-knit management-level team, working on exciting projects across South Africa and the African continent. Exposure to rotating machinery such as gearboxes, turbines, and blowers will be highly advantageous.

Salary: R45 000 – R65 000 CTC per month depended on experience.

Permanent | Full-Time | Travel Required (National & Africa-based Projects).

Minimum Requirements:

• BTech / BEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years’ experience in a mechanical / project engineering environment
• Comfortable working at a management level and engaging with clients directly
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with rotating equipment is highly advantageous (industrial grade gearboxes, turbines, blowers, etc.)
• Willingness and ability to travel nationally and across Africa (typically 4–6 weeks per project)
• Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Valid drivers license and own vehicle

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with engineering design, fault finding, and root cause analysis
• Support the execution of mechanical projects from inception through to final commissioning
• Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and client updates
• Participate in quality assurance processes and project compliance standards
• Support R&D initiatives and contribute to system optimisation
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Represent the business professionally on project sites across Africa
