Job summary

Solenis is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Foreman for the Kempton Park site in Gauteng. You will lead mechanical maintenance within the calcium hypochlorite facility, overseeing safe, reliable, and cost-effective upkeep of equipment, plant infrastructure, and utilities.

You will drive proactive maintenance planning, breakdown management, and capital project execution to support uninterrupted production. The role requires trade qualifications, 5+ years in industrial maintenance, and supervisory

Qualifications

• Trade Tested Fitter, Fitter & Turner, Millwright, or Mechanical Artisan.
• Minimum 5 years' post-trade experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Supervisory management qualification and/or experience.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• Experience in Calcium Hypochlorite or chemical manufacturing advantageous.
• Standby duties and overtime as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all mechanical maintenance activities across the production facility.
• Lead maintenance personnel and contractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to standard.
• Ensure preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs are effectively executed.
• Manage plant breakdowns and lead troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Ensure equipment reliability and availability meet production requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs, maintenance procedures, and work instructions.
