Placements24 seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter for our client in Polokwane, Limpopo. Maintain and repair a range of industrial machinery to maximize uptime and productivity.

Diagnose faults, dismantle and rebuild components, read technical drawings, and work with hand and power tools in a safety-conscious environment. A recognized trade qualification and at least four years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanical Fitter with a recognized trade qualification (e.g., N3 Mechanical Engineering).
• Minimum 4 years’ mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Skilled at diagnosing and repairing gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Able to read mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Strong hands-on skills with hand/power tools and welding equipment.
• Committed to safety and preventative maintenance programs.

Requirements

• Qualified Mechanical Fitter with a recognized trade qualification (e.g., N3 Mechanical Engineering or equivalent).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems, including gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Strong practical skills with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques and practices.
