Responsibilities

• Learn to assemble, install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment under the guidance of qualified fitters
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation
• Learn to safely and correctly use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
• Support machine installation, commissioning, and breakdown/fault-finding
• Take part in structured on-the-job training and formal learnership assessments
• Work closely with fitters, artisans, electricians, engineers, programmers and production staff
• Follow safe work practices and keep your work area organised
