Our client, a dynamic and expanding chemical dosing equipment company based in Macassar, Western Cape, is looking for an energetic, motivated, and technically skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their team. If you are passionate about engineering and looking to grow, we are looking for you!

Position: Mechanical Fitter

Location: Macassar, Western Cape

Reports To: Project Manager or Technical Foreman

Industry: Water and Waste Water Industry

Minimum Qualifying Criteria

• N6 Mechanical qualification with a relevant trade test
• 1–3 years’ experience in site installations, manufacturing & assembly
• Proven technical, troubleshooting, and engineering abilities
• Proficiency in reading blueprints & technical drawings
• Physically fit, able to work at heights & confined spaces
• Strong skills in hand tools & machine tools
• Microsoft Office (Intermediate)
• Valid, unendorsed Code 08 driver’s license

• Must be able to work with minimum supervision

Roles and Responsibilities

• Install mechanical equipment
• Work closely as per risk assessments and method statements to ensure health and safety is strictly adhered to at all times
• Ensure compliance to all company rules
• Actively engage with management in the planning, organizing and delivery of work
• Assist team leaders with day to day operations on site
• Identify site issues and report to Project Manager or Technical Foreman to ensure resolution
