Placements24 seeks a creative Mechanical Engineer in Polokwane to lead product development from concept through prototyping and testing, and to drive innovations in new market-ready devices.

You will create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, specify components, build and test prototypes, and collaborate with R&D, marketing, and manufacturing to ensure design for manufacturability and successful production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of product development and mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor).
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturability, and DFМ (design for manufacturability).
• Hands-on prototyping and testing experience.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and development of new products from concept to market-ready stages.
• Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical specifications for components and assemblies.
