Qualificações

About the Role

Our client, a major player in the industrial manufacturing sector, is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to oversee and optimize operations at their facility in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape . This role is essential for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of all mechanical systems and equipment within the plant. You will be responsible for maintenance planning, troubleshooting complex mechanical issues, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce downtime. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of all mechanical systems and machinery within the plant.

• Manage spare parts inventory and vendor relationships for mechanical components.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mechanical engineering or plant operations role within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in maintenance management, troubleshooting complex mechanical systems, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies.
• Strong understanding of industrial machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
• Familiarity with welding, machining, and fabrication processes.
• Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software is advantageous.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape .
