Mechanical Engineer - Nasrec

R 400000 - R 420000 Annually Basic Salary

FMCG concern are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our manufacturing team. In this position, you will design and optimize mechanical systems, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our production efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems, machinery, and production equipment
• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify efficiency, quality, and cost improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment
• Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical failures and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and engineering standards
• Prepare technical documentation including CAD drawings and process flow diagrams
• Manage engineering projects from concept to completion
• Support predictive and preventive maintenance programs
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors for equipment procurement and services

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSc Eng - Mechanical) or related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience interpreting blueprints
• Knowledge of SHEQ compliance and best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
