Job summary

Pillangó Placements is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support complex drilling and mining equipment, both locally and internationally. You will work with engineering, maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot, improve reliability and drive innovative solutions.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering, 3–5 years' mining/heavy industry experience, strong CAD skills and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

3–5 years' mechanical engineering experience in mining, drilling or heavy industry.
Strong mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills, with an understanding of basic electrical systems.
Experience supporting field operations, equipment maintenance or commissioning.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
Investigate equipment failures, identify root causes and implement practical solutions.
Support field service, commissioning and operational teams locally and internationally.
Improve equipment reliability, performance and maintenance efficiency.
Contribute to equipment design improvements and engineering innovation.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on technical projects.
Maintain engineering drawings, technical documentation and safety standards.
