Job summary

Brentwood is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for mining equipment and specialised vehicles in Johannesburg. The role focuses on heavy machinery design with emphasis on structural integrity, hydraulics, and fuel systems.

You will collaborate with manufacturing and procurement to deliver robust solutions. Requirements include a B-Tech/BSc or diploma in Mechanical Engineering and around 3 years in mechanical design/manufacturing, preferably in mining or heavy equipment sectors.

Qualifications

• B-Tech/B Sc or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Heavy equipment, structural, or automative design specialisation would be advantageous.
• 3 years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing (preferable within mining, heavy equipment, or specialised vehicle industry)

Qualifications

• B-Tech/B Sc or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering


• Heavy equipment, structural, or automative design specialisation would be advantageous

Experience

• 3 years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing (preferable within mining, heavy equipment, or specialised vehicle industry)

Skills

• FEA and Fluid Dynamics Analysis Tools


• Knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Fuel Systems for Heavy Mobile Equipment
