Placements24 is seeking a specialized Mechanical Engineer with HVAC expertise to design, implement, and optimize heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for building projects in Stellenbosch.

You will lead technical design efforts, perform energy modeling, oversee installation and commissioning, and ensure compliance with building codes while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of proven HVAC design and application experience.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software (HAP, TRACE, Revit MEP) and CAD.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, psychrometrics, fluid mechanics and building science.
• Knowledge of building codes and energy efficiency regulations (SANS, ASHRAE).
• Excellent project management and client liaison skills.
