About the Role

You will be responsible for the maintenance, design improvements, and operational efficiency of mechanical systems and equipment within our abattoir facility. Working closely with production and quality teams, you will ensure minimal downtime, maximum output, and compliance with all health, safety, and food industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing preventative and corrective maintenance programs for all mechanical systems
  • Troubleshooting and repairing machinery and equipment to minimise downtime
  • Designing and implementing process improvements for efficiency and safety
  • Supervising and training maintenance teams and artisans
  • Ensuring compliance with OHSA, food safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Monitoring and managing engineering budgets, parts inventory, and procurement
  • Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies when required

Requirements
