Job summary

SET Recruitment Consultants is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Richards Bay. In this role, you will manage Bills of Materials, draft designs using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, and perform mechanical calculations while ensuring compliance with internal standards.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and possess 3–5 years of experience in mechanical drafting, preferably within the heavy equipment industry. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical drafting and design, preferably in heavy equipment.
• Proficiency in CAD software required.
• Ability to create and maintain Bills of Materials.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Bills of Materials using SAP.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings from specifications.
• Perform load calculations for mechanical assemblies.
• Collaborate with clients to understand technical requirements.
