Job description

Purpose :

An experienced Mechanical Engineer with EPC / EPCM experience working in a consulting role. The candidate will be part of a team managing key clients and projects in mining and infrastructure. Responsibilities include managing studies, designs, coordination, and project completion on time, within budget, and within scope. The candidate must oversee all project phases from concept study to commissioning, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress. They should be adept at preparing reports, proposals, and communicating with team members, clients, and stakeholders. Collaboration across disciplines is essential to ensure deliverables meet scope and budget, and to identify innovative solutions.

Requirements :

Broad understanding of mechanical infrastructure systems, including mining infrastructure, construction practices, contracts, and schedule management.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a desire to lead projects.

Ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.

Experience in defining project scope, developing detailed plans, managing changes, and collaborating with design engineers to ensure compliance.

Effective risk management, stakeholder relationship management, and site supervision skills.

Ability to develop project documentation, supervise construction, and oversee testing and commissioning.

Cost estimation, proposal preparation, and collaboration with international teams.

Qualifications :

BSc / BEng / BTech (Mechanical) and Professional Registration (ECSA).

Experience :

Minimum 5 years in mechanical or mining projects within the consulting industry.

High proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks, and project management tools.
