Job description

Position : Mechanical Personnel AND Electrical Personnel (Contract Position)
Report to : Electrical / Mechanical Manager
Location/Project : Welkom Freestate

Project Introduction
The Khauta Solar Project is a private project developed by the NOA Group and construction will be done by WBHO Construction Pty Ltd. The solar plant will have the capacity to generate 501MWdc of electricity. The site is located in the Free State province in the City of Welkom, between Riebeeckstad Ward 10, 25 & 28. This project is set to kickstart in July 2025 and construction to be completed by December 2026.


Key Requirements :
  • Completed Bachelors Degree in Mechanical OR Electrical Engineering
  • At least 3 years experience in construction, engineering, or energy sectors is highly desirable
    - Strong technical knowledge of solar systems, inverters, monitoring systems, and associated equipment
    - Familiarity with relevant safety and environmental regulations, industry standards, and best practices
    - Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
    - Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues, optimise system performance, and troubleshoot problems
    - Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
    - Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
Supervisory experience will be advantageous
