About the Role

Our client is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to their operations in Bloemfontein. You will be involved in all stages of the design process, from initial concept generation and feasibility studies to detailed design, prototyping, and testing. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new industrial equipment and machinery, optimizing for performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and bills of materials using CAD software.
• Conduct engineering calculations and simulations to verify design integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure designs are producible and meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during prototyping, testing, and production phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
