Company Overview:

A consulting and product development company engaged in commercial development. The suitable candidate must have strong 3D design skills and ideally be interested in FEA.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Develop technical product designs for clients across various industries, including renewable energy.
2. Design for manufacture based on first principles.
3. Implement design changes on existing products.
4. Create models and drawings of components and systems, including assemblies and subassemblies.
5. Generate prototypes and detailed drawings.
6. Conduct engineering analyses as required.
7. Suggest improvements for existing products.
8. Manage engineering projects from concept to prototype and production.
9. Investigate engineering issues and assess cost impacts of modifications.
10. Prepare reports on design analyses.
11. Propose engineering changes as needed.
12. Collaborate with engineers, production staff, and subcontractors.

Qualifications & Experience:

• BEng. or MEng / MSc in Mechanical Engineering.
• Essential: At least 4 years of design experience using SolidWorks.
• Experience in product design for at least 4-8 years.
• Skills in sheet metal component design, with some experience in aluminium.
• Ability to interpret specifications, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
