Job summary

Primeserv Recruitment in Gauteng seeks a Senior Design Draughtsman to produce manufacturing drawings and develop 3D parametric models. You will communicate with Design Engineers and report progress to the Drawing Office Manager while upholding ISO 9001 quality standards.

Applicants should have a Diploma in Mechanical Draughting and at least 8 years in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and fabrication, with expertise in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD Vault. Mining sector experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as Senior Design Draughtsman.
• 8+ years in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years in Manufacturing and Fabrication.
• Diploma in Mechanical Draughting.
• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor for 3D skeleton modelling and AutoCAD Vault.
• Experience in the Mining industry is advantageous.

Job description

You will be mainly responsible for:

• Creating 3D parametric models from created skeletons using Autodesk Inventor Software.
• Generating General Arrangement (G.A) and Detail drawings for Manufacturing.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior Design Draughtsman:

• Produce manufacturing drawings.
• Communicate with the Design Engineers.
• Give feedback on drawing progress to the Drawing Office Manager.
• Create 3D parametric models using SKELETON MODELING.
• To produce the most accurate, correct and neat drawings.
• Upholding the ISO 9001 Quality when producing drawings.

Minimum requirements:

• Minimum 8 years active working experience as a Senior Design Draughtsman.
• Minimum 8 years active working experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years experience in Manufacturing and Fabrication.
• Diploma in Mechanical Draughting.
• Technical competence using the following Autodesk Software: Inventor - 3D Skeleton modelling AutoCAD Vault.
• High attention to detail.
• Experience in the Mining Industry will be an added advantage.
