Job summary

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
At least 4 years of experience in purchasing and inventory control.
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP software.
Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
Solid understanding of the Western Cape industrial landscape.

Responsibilities

Procure materials and components according to production schedules and demand forecasts.
Manage inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while preventing stockouts.
Negotiate with suppliers for pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock takes.
Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
