Material Handler - Packaging Supplier / Filler / Forklift Driver

Responsibilities
  • Ensure minimum packout consumable quantities in all areas, including machine tapes, hand tapes, plastic wrap, and stickers, to prevent congestion.
  • Remove old material immediately after use.
  • Verify product quality before handing over to warehouse.
  • Change plastic when necessary and check that batch numbers, dates, and stickers are properly affixed on all boxes and drums, with pallets neatly wrapped.
  • Dispatch only when all packing complies with standards.
  • Log production data accurately in the packout logsheet, including off-spec products.
  • Take hourly GP samples to the lab for analysis.
  • Move full pallets to designated areas according to shift allocation, ensuring proper stacking and good housekeeping.
  • Complete forklift inspection logs and report deviations.
  • Physically lift weights as required during packing and decanting processes.
  • Assist robot operators with manual lifting when necessary.
  • Handle off-spec products and ensure proper storage.
  • Conduct walk-around inspections, report deviations, and perform weight checks regularly.
  • Check and maintain bottle feeding and unscrambling equipment, reject deviations, and report issues.
  • Ensure video jets and batch printing are functioning correctly.
  • Manually cap bottles and clean spills promptly.
  • Perform troubleshooting around filling stations and adhere to production plans.
  • Operate machinery such as shrink wrapping machines and filling machines.
  • Re-gas forklifts when required.
  • Maintain safety, health, and environmental standards, participate in safety meetings, and keep work areas clean.
