Job summary

Finselect Personnel Pty Ltd in Knysna, Western Cape, ZA seeks an experienced Master Vehicle Technician to join a professional motor dealership. The role requires strong diagnostic expertise and deep technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle systems.

Ideal candidates will hold Red Seal Trade Test and Master Technician certification, with at least 5 years in a franchised dealership.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Motor Vehicle Technician with Red Seal Trade Test.
• Master Technician certification.
• Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience within a franchised motor dealership.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle systems.
• Experience using OEM diagnostic equipment and manufacturer technical systems.
• Strong understanding of modern vehicle electronics, CAN-bus systems and vehicle control modules.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex technical faults accurately.
• Computer literate and comfortable using dealership/workshop management systems.
• Ability to conduct final inspections and quality-control checks.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturer repair procedures and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail with a "fix right first time" mindset.
• Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical faults clearly.
• Able to work effectively under pressure and meet set deadlines.
