- Motivation: Foster a high-performance culture that values professional impact, continuous learning, solutions-oriented thinking, engaging in the company culture and motivating the team to perform and participate within the company.
- Cultivate Growth: Provide opportunities for Coordinators to take ownership and authority in various areas so they can grow confidence in aspects of the business that they aren't always exposed to (higher arching projects, external stakeholder engagement and other opportunities to learn and develop helping coordinators explore initiatives outside their "comfort zone").
Oversight & Growth
- Opportunity Identification: Identify and unlock new growth levers, such as new marketplace entries, exclusive promotional opportunities, or technical enhancements.
- Commercial Strategy: Translate BU & business goals into actionable marketplace roadmaps for the coordinators to execute.
- Project Leadership: Lead high-impact initiatives (e.g. launching new platforms, big opportunities to collaborate with Marketplaces or other such initiatives) and guide coordinators through the implementation phase.
Operational Governance
- Process & Department Optimization: Standardize workflows for listings, pricing updates, and financial reconciliations to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Quality Assurance: Audit marketplace presence (content, pricing, stock) to ensure the team maintains "Supernova Brands" standards of excellence.
- Risk Mitigation: Act as the escalation point for complex issues regarding stock discrepancies, account health, or marketplace issues.
- Functional Oversight: Ensure the team's financial reconciliation and administrative processes (Returns, RMAs, etc) are robust and accurate.
- Guide & Train: Guide and train the Marketplace Team on how to perform their tasks and functions.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Internal Alignment: Work closely with BU Leads and direct line managers to ensure the marketplace team is a proactive partner, not just a service function.
- External Partnerships: Manage high-level relationships with Marketplace Account Managers (Takealot, Amazon, etc.) to secure better support and promotional slots.
- Cross-Functional Bridge: Facilitate communication between the Marketplace team and the Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain departments to unlock execution.

- Stakeholder Trust: Strong, professional relationships exist with both internal BU teams and external workflows.
- Transparency: Providing visuals on the management, performance and progress of the Marketplace Team.

- Proactive Resilience: Anticipating marketplace shifts and preparing the team to adapt before issues become crises.
