Job description

As the responsible person for Business Development, Marketing, and Sales internal and external communication activities, you will play a key role in driving our efforts to meet increased market demands.

The BDMS Marketing Support function will serve as the marketing communications support hub within our BD & MS department, handling all events and communication activities internally and with stakeholders.

The environment within our market segment is highly dynamic, requiring continuous adaptation to new realities. Your role involves close collaboration with personnel within our M&S department, as well as interaction with our global marketing office and operating countries worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate events with product sales responsible, BU / B function, and GBD office for both local and international events.
  2. Develop and implement effective marketing communication plans supporting the BDMS marketing strategy and campaigns.
  3. Draft key messages and update presentation materials for the function.
  4. Coordinate and support demo activities.
  5. Provide social media content and adapt display models for customers and exhibitions.
  6. Manage the SGD Marketing Store room.
  7. Draft internal newsletters for the BDMS and FCC Marketing functions.
  8. Support the bid process and marketing campaigns.
  9. Assist the country office with local activities, including golf days.
  10. Coordinate sponsorship activities and handle media inquiries and interview requests.
Candidate Profile:
  • Excellent multitasking, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience in event planning.
  • Strong content creation skills and business understanding.
  • Willingness to travel within South Africa and internationally.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in defense business is advantageous.
