Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct formal annual category, brand, and product plans to achieve financial growth and profitability (GP).
  • Create, plan, manage, and execute campaigns to meet category and brand objectives.
  • Lead new product development initiatives.
  • Conduct research and monitor market trends and competitor strategies.
  • Identify and introduce innovative ingredients, packaging, technologies, products, concepts, and ideas that are commercially viable.
  • Oversee stock planning and movement in collaboration with Procurement and Operations.
  • Manage and guide annual growth targets and forecasts by brand and SKU.
  • Ensure sufficient promotional activities and innovation to drive stock turnover.
  • Manage stock clearance prior to aging or expiry.
  • Handle product costing within purchasing and packaging parameters, and negotiate with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Maintain supplier relationships concerning agreements, processes, and business requirements.
  • Ensure all products are legal, compliant, and suitable for exports and CAMS, focusing on labels and ingredients.
  • Lead project management efforts.
  • Lead, manage, and develop departmental staff.
  • Improve and implement efficient systems and processes.

  • Post Grade 12 (Degree or equivalent) qualification; RPL considered.
