Purpose of the Role

The overall responsibility for coordination and local delivery of the Communications, Marketing, and Content functions across Southern Africa.

This role ensures regional programs are implemented locally to drive sales and enhance brand recognition through effective marketing execution.

Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Marketing: Implement regional marketing, communications, content, and CRM strategies for Southern Africa, managing projects on time and within budget.
  2. Marketing Campaigns & Product Management: Launch new products and campaigns aligned with regional direction, maintaining brand positioning and developing local content as needed.
  3. Content & Website Management: Manage content planning, ensure website updates, and maintain high-quality, relevant content.
  4. Relationship Building: Develop relationships across the organization, incorporating feedback from senior ABO leaders.
  5. Events & Activations: Assist in planning and executing marketing activations at various events.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, commerce, or related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in marketing and new product development.
  • Strong brand management and business acumen.
  • Understanding of digital and social media.
  • Initiative, analytical skills, and motivation.
