MARKETING OFFICER (ONE-YEAR CONTRACT APPOINTMENT)

Job Purpose
The purpose of this position is to perform marketing and communication functions in the Innovation and Research Contracts unit.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with communication on media platforms:
- Publication of events on social media – Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and others;
- Communicating calls for application of funds;
- Market analysis reports:
- Assisting with desktop searches of market information;
- Collating information for market reports;
- Assist with marketing material:
- Assisting with the review and updating of marketing material;
- Assisting in the designing of marketing material;
- Co-ordination of events:
- Assisting in the co-ordination of events;
- Assisting in the sourcing and procurement of goods and services for events;
- Assisting in setting up stands and the distribution of marketing material at events.
Minimum Requirements
- National three-year diploma in marketing;
- One-year experience in:
- Digital content creation;
- Updating of marketing material;
- Publishing in social media;
- Exhibiting ;
OR
- Grade 12;
- Three years’ experience in:
- Digital content creation;
- Updating of marketing material;
- Publishing in social media;
- Exhibiting.

Added Advantages And Preferences
- BTech in marketing:
- Two years’ experience in:
- Sales/marketing;
- Technology transfer;
- Sales/marketing certificate;
- WIPO courses: DL101, DL301, DL302, DL450;
- WIPO Summer School certification.
The all-inclusive remuneration package for this contract position will be commensurate with the incumbent’s level of appointment, as determined by UP policy guidelines.
