Key Purpose

The Sponsorship and Experiential Marketing Manager is an integral part of a team specializing in strategic sponsorships and experiential marketing initiatives. This includes managing and conceptualizing cross-functional sports and lifestyle events, consumer engagements, and other marketing extensions. The role requires delivering creative solutions that foster lasting relationships resonating with consumers and the broader South African community.

We seek a leader to develop programs and implement innovative ideas reflecting our company's spirit. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is essential to identify opportunities that meet business objectives while managing budgets and results.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver sponsorship & experiential marketing, functioning as a thought leader with extensive knowledge of these areas, including digital and social media trends.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitors, consumer, and cultural insights to inform and inspire marketing activities.
  • Develop creative strategies and seed ideas aligned with marketing objectives, creating compelling content for stakeholder buy-in.
  • Lead integration among marketing, advertising, and PR partners to ensure consistent brand exposure.
  • Oversee project management from scheduling to execution, managing budgets, resources, and timelines to meet high standards.
  • Proactively manage multiple projects, protecting brand integrity and delivering proof of accomplishments.
  • Evaluate ROI and conduct post-event analyses.
  • Focus on sports-related mass participation events, especially running and cycling, with potential nationwide travel and variable hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manage communication strategies, and oversee creative briefs to ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage sponsorship queries, monitor implementation, and produce reports on ROI and project status.
  • Develop and manage a team, build relationships with key stakeholders, and bring innovation to the business.
