Overview

Our client is seeking a Marketing Manager to join their team. The successful incumbent will be responsible for overseeing, improving, and driving performance, brand, and strategic marketing functions and processes across the business. The role is required to liaise with and manage marketing agencies and to build and enhance teamwork and collaboration between marketing and other functional departments.

Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or communications-related field is preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years’ management experience within the marketing function.
  • Proven experience in digital and performance marketing (SEO, paid, organic etc).
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation, analytics platforms, and tag managers.
  • Experience in B2C marketing (B2B being advantageous).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage agencies and manage senior stakeholder relationships.
Job Responsibilities
Performance Marketing and Strategy
  • In collaboration with paid media agencies, lead paid media and SEO initiatives/strategies to drive acquisition, reach, and growth.
  • Regularly monitor performance of digital campaigns with respect to KPI’s such as ROAS, CPA, and CPL.
  • Liaise regularly with the enrolments department regarding the quality and integration of leads between digital platforms and the CRM.
  • Oversee/assist with, and sign off on all creative and copy content, in relation to advertising collateral, and SEO.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor paid media campaigns, including daily/weekly spend plan, across various digital channels.
  • Strategise methods to optimise digital paid campaigns.
  • In collaboration with paid media agencies, test conversion optimisations, including A/B testing and mobile-first designs.
Brand and Content Marketing
  • Facilitate and drive production of high-quality content for organic social media campaigns.
  • Manage PR, influencer, and external communications to grow and enhance brand reputation.
  • Maintain and monitor the Institutional website – including developing mock-ups for new courses, writing copy, and publishing blogs and testimonial assets.
  • Facilitate communications between the organisation and students, in relation to brand marketing competitions and testimonials.
  • In collaboration with Faculty/student services, facilitate the annual Institutional graduation ceremonies.
  • Facilitate brand marketing initiatives on traditional marketing channels such as radio, tv, and newspapers.
Reporting and Analytics
  • Ensure technical setup and tracking of conversion data, including pixel installation, Google Tag Manager, UTM structures etc.
  • Maintain and improve dashboards and other performance reports to ensure visibility of top-line KPI’s and drilldowns.
  • Report to Exco on the performance of the marketing function across the business
